Kittens & Cats … Puppies & Dogs Need A Home!
One of A Kind Pet Rescue saves approximately 1200 orphaned pets each year. Unspayed cats & dogs give birth daily and there are just not enough homes for all of the deserving offspring. Be a part of the solution … spay & neuter your pets!
One of A Kind Pets Rescue receives dozens of requests from people in the community requesting help with their cat or dog’s newly born offspring or for dogs/puppies and cats/kittens found in their neighborhood. With space constraints, we help when we can but truly wish we could do much more!
Through rescue and adoption, we continue to offer safe haven to large numbers of homeless pets each year. Every rescued animal receives age-appropriate vaccines, medical testing, and any treatment they require. Equally important, all rescued animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption – no exceptions!
Rescuing homeless pets is a very, very expensive mission. Donations are continually requested and always appreciated. Monetary contributions help to pay for tests, vaccinations, medical treatment, spay/neuter surgeries and nutrition. Want to help us? Donate to the following funds:
- Care Fund – providing low-income families with spay & neuter surgeries at no-cost
- Feral Cat Fund – covering the cost of spay & neuter surgeries at no-cost for feral cats only
- Pit Bull Fund – offering free spay & neuter surgeries for Pit Bull breed dogs
- Clancy’s Critical Care Fund – funding emergency medical treatment and surgeries for dogs & cats, puppies & kittens
Stop in to our adoption center today and meet our furry friends awaiting homes. They’re worth the trip – we promise! |
Spay and Neuter Clinic
One of A Kind Pet Rescue Spay & Neuter Clinic offers our low-cost / no-cost spay and neuter surgeries to all pet owners.
Pet overpopulation is a national epidemic. Each year, approximately, eight million homeless pets enter shelters in the United States. Sadly, over four million adoptable animals are euthanized due to space limitations. We believe the only humane solution to this problem is through an affordable spay and neuter program.
One of A Kind Pets Rescue is the first to build a Humane Alliance Clinic in this region. Humane Alliance, a nationally recognized organization, offers a professional model for building and operating spay and neuter clinics throughout the country. Euthanasia rates at local shelters are reported to decrease by up to 70% in communities following the Humane Alliance model. This significant reduction can be accomplished in just a few years. Over time, the spay & neuter clinic will greatly benefit all local rescue organizations in the community with their rescue efforts.
Donations are needed to help fund the spay and neuter mission. Surgical equipment, surgical supplies, and pharmaceuticals are a constant burden for the clinic. If you are interested in supporting this program, please contact Georjette Thomas, Director of Advancement @ 330.760.0763.
