The Foster program at One of A Kind Pet Rescue plays an important role, especially this time of year during kitten season. Foster care volunteers provide temporary care for a mom and her newborn kittens during the first eight weeks of their lives. Foster families socialize the kittens while providing a quiet, stress-free, and loving environment, which allows every pet that is fostered through our program a better chance at a happier and healthier life with a forever family. Without our Foster families, our ability to rescue homeless kittens would be limited by the capacity of our Adoption Center. Occasionally we also need Foster families who would be willing to take on an adult dog or puppies. If you would like to help us this year as a Foster, please send us your contact information (including your phone number) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you cannot serve as a Foster but want to support the program, please consider donating some of the following items to help support those that will be fostering for us.
Items Needed: Dry KMR (Kitten Milk Replacement), Fancy Feast (pate only), dry kitten food, litter, litterboxes (all sizes), beds, blankets, feeding bottles, small flat food bowls, and heating pads (without automatic shut-off).
