Time to Check the Chip!

Don’t wait until your pet is lost to consider a microchip. This tiny chip could make the difference between your pet finding their way home and being lost forever. The chip itself is no bigger than a grain of rice and has a unique identification number. Implanting it is very similar to your pet getting a vaccination. The procedure is quick and doesn’t require anesthesia or recovery time. Having a lost pet can be frightening, so do the right thing now to protect them.
Microchips only work if its registration information is accurate. If your pet is already chipped, and if you’ve moved or changed your phone number, you need to update your pet’s registration. Not sure who to contact? The American Animal Hospital Association created the Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. Key in your pet’s microchip number and it will provide the manufacturer’s name and contact information.
Need to have your pet microchipped? The process only takes a few minutes and can be performed at the time of the spay/neuter surgery, or at our monthly Vaccine Clinic held on the first Saturday of each month.
