Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week

The week of October 13th is Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week. This week of recognition was established in 1993 by the National Association of Veterinary Technicians. One of A Kind Pet Rescue and Spay & Neuter Clinic collectively employ 14 Veterinary Technicians. Vet techs play a crucial role in preserving animals’ welfare and health at animal facilities everywhere. In human health care, there are nurses, anesthesiologists, radiation technologists, laboratory technologists, respiratory therapists, dieticians, physiotherapists, etc.; in veterinary medicine, Veterinary Technicians are responsible for all those disciplines.
On a daily basis, our vet techs are helping pets from the tiniest kittens to the largest dogs. Their job descriptions are exhausting to read, but their levels of commitment, sacrifice and passion are unending. Â
If you’re an animal lover and/or owner, please take this opportunity and learn what vet techs do every day. These professionals have an important role in the field of animal medicine. You can also reach out to our vet techs and thank them for their selfless hard work behind the scenes. Thank you veterinary technicians for putting in the hard work to help animals who need it and need you. Please remain the same everyday heroes you were born to be.
