Celebrating the 4th of July With Your Furry Friends

We look forward to the 4th of July and its celebratory nature – cookouts, outdoor activities & of course, fireworks! There are some things to keep in mind while you enjoy the 4th with your furry friends.
- Never use fireworks around your pets. Exposure to lit fireworks can be extremely dangerous to them resulting in trauma to their face and paws – especially our very curious furry friends. Unused fireworks can also pose a danger due to toxic substances that can be found in them, such as potassium nitrate, arsenic and other heavy metals.
- It might seem like a great idea to take them with you to view firework displays, but they may not agree with you. They can become frightened and/or disoriented by the loud sounds. Keep them safe from the noise, and in an escape-proof area at home. They will thank you for this.
