Adopting Senior Dogs – An Act of Kindness
Senior dogs seeking a new forever home have found themselves without their humans for a variety of reasons–change in job status, a move, a medical condition or unfortunately a sudden death. When you adopt a senior pet you are giving them a second chance–one they so deserve!
What are benefits to adopting a senior dog?*
- They are usually housetrained
- They are not teething; so your shoes, favorite couch are saved
- They understand commands
- They will adjust easily as they have learned what it takes to fit in
- They are good at giving love as they are thankful for their second chance
- What you see is what you get
- Older dogs will let you get a good nights sleep as they are more adjusted to humans schedules
- And, you have saved their lives and given them a second chance to find love and companionship!
One of A Kind Pet Rescue assesses all pet’s health and wellness, and will certainly do so with senior pets assuring their health and fitness needs are met so that they are ready for adoption.
