Covid-19 has definitely brought change for all of us. These are very uncertain times, but One of A Kind Pet Rescue has been focusing on how to safely continue rescuing pets in the most need, while also finding them forever homes. We are considered an essential business because of the pets that require our constant care and attention. We are beginning to conduct adoptions on an individual basis by appointment. This will allow us to safely continue our rescue efforts, while abiding by the guidelines issued by Governor DeWine. The following changes have been established. Please share these procedures with those family and friends whom you may know are searching for a furry forever friend.

Adoptions for adult dogs and cats will continue. These available pets are featured on our website with photos and complete bios. The first step is to choose a pet from the website that suits your family and lifestyle. Once you have selected a pet, please email us at Adoption@Oneofakindpets.com. An adoption counselor will email an application to you for prior approval. Once the application is approved, an appointment will be set to meet the pet and finalize the adoption process at our rescue.

Puppy and kitten adoptions will be conducted also, but the process will be slightly different. The applications for puppies and kittens are accessible on our website. The first step is to complete the application. Applications will be screened by an Adoption Counselor. Once your completed application has been submitted and reviewed, an Adoption Counselor will contact you to schedule a time for you to visit the Adoption Center and select a puppy or kitten as they become available. Please note that puppies and kittens will be adopted on a first come basis. We will not reserve puppies or kittens. Please try to avoid calling the adoption center, as we are not fully staffed, and it is very difficult for us to answer questions via telephone. We are hoping that these processes will enable us to continue to place pets in loving homes. Though we all must prioritize the health and safety of everyone, this is a perfect opportunity to welcome a new furry family member into your home. Please keep in mind that pets require time and patience to acclimate into a new environment. With all of us spending so much time at home, this is the ideal time to spoil a new fur baby!
